What’s in My Baby Beach Bag? 7 Things You NEED To Have on Hand

What’s in My Baby Beach Bag? 7 Things You NEED To Have on Hand 21Jul

Planning a beach day for you and your baby?

Here are some items you need to prep and pack in your beach bag for a joyous and worry-free time by the sea.

1. SPF

It's quite obvious, but we cannot skip mentioning it. Baby skin is thin and tender, and sunburn can appear much faster.

Before throwing the SPF in the bag, apply it while still at home. Then, set a timer to remind you to reapply every two hours.

Keep in mind that SPF 50 does not mean that your baby is protected for longer, so not matter the factor, apply often and thoroughly.

2. A sun hat

Many parents reveal that they often miss packing a sun hat, so there you go, take this as a reminder.

Bring along a hat with a broad rim that covers not only your baby's head but also the ears and the neck.

3. Snacks

If you have already started to include solids in your baby's diet, then packing fruits and vegetables such as bananas, apples, carrots, and cucumbers is a must. Use ice packs to keep them fresh for longer.

If your baby is teething, get something he can chew on for longer. Dried apricots and prunes are excellent natural teether toys.

Shelf-stable bars and puffs are also good to have on hand!

4. A baby pool

Sand can be irritating to a baby's delicate skin, so bringing along a small pool will grant your little one a clean space to play at.

If sand is not a problem, then, of course, you can fill it with water and hunt sea monsters safely under the shade.

5. Beach umbrella

And talking about the shade, you never know if you will be able to find the perfect spot on the beach, so you've got to make sure you can make it instead.

Pack an extra umbrella with you, just in case. It will not take that much space, but it will surely serve you well when needed!

6. Talc-free powder

You don't want sand in the car, do you? Nor at your home.

Talc-free powder (Beach Powder) is great for getting rid of the sand stuck on the skin. Sprinkle a little bit, rub gently, and boom, it's all gone.

7. Baby shampoo

Washing up before going home is a necessity, so don't miss adding a baby shampoo into the bag.

Choose something hydrating and natural to nourish the skin after being exposed to the sunlight.

And that's it! It feels like a lot, but hey, better be prepared than not, right?

The lapping waves, the sea breeze, the sand - they are all very exciting for babies, so savor the moments spent with your little one. And don't forget the camera, it's an item that's not on the list, but it's something that must always be kept nearby when having a baby.
